Manchester United could have a chance to land Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus in a highly successful trade.

Speculation about Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United has surfaced once again with his agent Mino Raiola hinting at a departure from the club in the very near future. With the 3-2 loss to RB Leipzig that marked his exit from the Champions League, he added fuel to that fire.

In a recent interview, before the game against RB Leipzig, Raiola mentioned that Juventus could be Pogba’s next destination when he leaves Old Trafford. The Frenchman could be returning to his old club as various media claim.

But this could be a great opportunity for the Red Devils to also win back one of their former stars in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is no wonder that all football clubs have gone through a financial crisis due to the global pandemic. And Juventus and Manchester United have also been victims of the situation. Naturally, spending an enormous amount of money to sign their former midfielder now would be problematic for the Italian giants.

It’s the same situation with the Red Devils and Ronaldo. Therefore, a swap agreement could be the perfect solution for all parties involved.

Ronaldo is now 35 years old and is by far the highest earner at Juventus, estimated at some 31 million euros a year. With Andrea Pirlo as coach, the Italian team have been planning to move to a much more balanced style of football in the future. On the other hand, Ronaldo is the focal point of whatever team he plays for and perhaps rightly considered, considering his staggering numbers even at this age.

Juventus are expected to make a move for Pogba next summer, who only has one year left on his contract at the time. So, don’t be surprised if the two of you end up changing shirts in the near future.
