Manchester United’s Carabao Cup quarter-final match with Everton at Goodison Park has been moved to December 23, with a kick-off at 8pm.
United travel to Merseyside to face Carlo Ancelotti’s men as they seek to reach the semi-finals of the competition for the second consecutive season.
Everton, meanwhile, have a poor record of being in the bottom four of the competition after reaching the semi-final stage only three times in the past 33 years.
With Everton impressing in the Premier League this season it should be an exciting game and it is not surprising that the match has been selected for Sky Sports coverage.
By United. the tie falls between Premier League matches against Leeds at Old Trafford and Leicester City at King Power Stadium, the latter on Boxing Day.
United have so far beaten Luton Town and Brighton to reach the quarter-finals, while Everton have beaten Northampton Town, Salford City and West Ham.
The two teams have not met in the League Cup since November 1993, when United won 2-0 at Goodison Park.
United take on Everton in the Premier League this weekend, with Solskjaer not winning against the Toffees in three attempts as United manager.
