Manchester United at Ousmane Dembele transfers despair as club ‘considers’ cutting a major corner to seal the deal

Desperate Manchester United are reportedly considering skipping a medical exam in an attempt to sign Ousmane Dembélé on loan from Barcelona.

The Old Trafford club are looking for reinforcements after Sunday’s humiliating 6-1 loss to Tottenham.

An effort to sign Jadon Sancho appears dead in the water after United failed to reach a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

Since then, the club has focused its attention on Camp Nou winger Dembélé.

But as time runs out before the Premier League 11pm deadline, the Spanish media Sports diary insists both clubs are open to skipping medical checks.

Barcelona are eager to sign Memphis Depay from Lyon, but are said to have to move players before bringing in the Dutchman.

On Monday United confirmed the arrival of left-back Alex Telles from Porto.

In a transfer worth around £ 15 million, the Brazilian defender signed a four-year contract with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s team.

United is also working on bringing in free agent Edinson Cavani.
