Amid mounting frustrations in the Manchester United fan base, Ed Woodward and co. I have a lot of work to do in the final days of the summer transfer window.
After seemingly losing Jadon Sancho earlier in the window and signing just one senior player all summer in the form of Donny van de Beek, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have hoped for more financial backing.
But he hasn’t received such support, and now he leaves United struggling to add high-level talent to a team that is extremely thin in several crucial positions.
A left-back, a center-back, a winger and a central midfielder have been highlighted as potential needs, although only one midfielder has been signed, while United’s performances to start the season have also left much to be desired.
However, there’s still time for Woodward to save the summer window and add some much-needed quality to close the gap at the top of the table.

The Barça rejects the offer of Ansu Fati

Just as Ansu Fati enters the Barcelona senior team, the Catalan giants reportedly turned down a massive offer for their next rising star.
The 17-year-old, who is La Masia’s latest product to appear poised to take world soccer by storm, broke into the first team last season, scoring eight goals in 33 appearances across all competitions. And now, Brand, via Sport mole, reports that Barcelona have rejected an offer of 150 million euros (137 million pounds) for the young winger.
Manchester United have been desperately looking for a wide attacker, with Barcelona underdog Ousmane Dembele tied in, as well as young Fati, although it would be surprising if Barcelona were willing to sell their most prized possession.
The club that submitted the offer has not been identified, although there is only a limited amount that could afford that offer.

Inter plan Chris Smalling move

After a hugely successful loan stint with Roma last season, Chris Smalling might be ready to return to Italy, though not with the team he played so formidably for last season.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport mole, Inter Milan will make a move for Smalling in the final days of the transfer window should Milan Skriniar leave.
Skriniar has been linked to a departure from San Siro, with Tottenham Hotspur named as possible suitors. In case he leaves, Antonio Conte, who uses three centers in his starting eleven, apparently would like to join his team.
Meanwhile, Smalling, who has fallen out of favor at Old Trafford, has pushed for him to return to the Italian capital. Rome, however, has been unable to meet United’s £ 18 million valuation.
Jiménez open at the exit of the Wolves

Amid rumors that he might move to Manchester United one day, Wolves forward Raúl Jiménez revealed that he is “open to anything” regarding his future.
“I have three more seasons [on my contract]”He said at an event at the Mexican embassy in London through Sports Mole. “If I stay here at Wolves, I would be very happy.
“We know that anything can happen and that there can be a change. I am open to everything.
“I was lucky enough to play some games [in the Champions League]. It’s incredible and it’s in my plans to play again, but first I have to do what I have to do with the Wolves. “
