It has been a very busy week for Mauricio Pochettino. The jobless manager drew attention by appearing on Sky Sports Monday Night Football, two days after Manchester United’s loss to Arsenal.
Forgetting the smoothness with which he talked about managing a club, working with a board and getting the best out of an underperforming team, his mere presence was enough to leave United fans wanting more.
Pochettino, of course, has been out of work since he was fired by Tottenham in November. Despite leading the club to a Champions League final that same year, a disappointing start to the 2019/20 season was enough for Daniel Levy to swing his ax.
The Argentine, who had also enjoyed successes at Southampton, made Tottenham a title contender and a European. For some Spurs fans, Levy’s decision remains a bitter pill to swallow.

But the problem they have is that Pochettino will not be around forever. According to ForbesThe 48-year-old actually turned down the opportunity to coach in Barcelona because he would prefer United’s job.
There will only be so many jobs that you turn down before accepting one.
It adds even more pressure on United, which they have to seriously think about doing.
