Man Utd leaves agent “baffled” by not responding to “first-class player” offer

Manchester United’s lack of transfer activity continues to infuriate fans and former players alike.

With less than two weeks remaining in the summer window, United have signed a single senior player, and Donny van de Beek arrives from Ajax on a £ 40m deal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that United remain on the market for new recruits, but with their well-publicized search for Jadon Sancho increasingly frustrated, there is now genuine concern among fans.

United legend Patrice Evra launched an astonishing attack on the club’s transfer strategy by suggesting that their lack of knowledge of the “world of football” was hurting them.

Former Manchester United defender Evra took aim at the club’s decision makers

He also claimed that United’s chief transfer negotiator, Matt Judge, was missing deals due to poor communication.

In a lengthy Instagram video, Evra said: “When United wanted a player, they just went and talked to him face to face.

“When Ferguson and Gill came to meet me in Monaco, it was worse than an interview with the CIA or the FBI!

“Now we send lawyers to talk to the players we want to buy. When you send lawyers, you talk about numbers, they are not people from the world of football.

Manchester United are looking to chart their way back to the top. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already signed Donny van de Beek, but Jadon Sancho remains Manchester United’s number one target.

“When we want a player who would normally cost £ 20 million, we are trying to buy him for £ 100 million, but even those players, they don’t want our money anymore.

“My phone is ringing now, from the football managers at the top, from the best clubs and they say ‘Patrice, can you ask a certain Matt Judge to answer his phone?’

“We have the money, but we don’t have the players, because we sent the wrong people to talk to them.”

Donny van de Beek is United’s only senior signing this summer

And those claims have been backed up by United Athletic collaborator Andy Mitten, who revealed that an agent had been stunned by the lack of response from Old Trafford.

On the latest Talk of the Devils podcast, Mitten said: “I have spoken to agents this summer, one yesterday: ‘United has not responded to me.’

“And this is a first-rate player, with whom if he signed, United fans would be very, very happy.

“He is puzzled that United did not respond to him.”
