A man was shot and cash stolen in front of a bank in a shopping center in Umhlanga Ridge, north of Durban, on Tuesday.
At 3:34 p.m., Netcare 911, along with other emergency services, responded to a theft, Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst said.

“Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male had suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm. It was alleged that an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the victim.”
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital with private transport and the scene was secured by authorities.
