A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend.
A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing to death his seven-month-pregnant girlfriend, North West police said Sunday.
The 34-year-old man from Taung was visiting his 27-year-old girlfriend at Ipelegeng Location on Saturday when they allegedly had an argument, according to Lt. Col. Amanda Funani.
“The suspect allegedly accused the girlfriend of cheating when he was away,” he said.
“According to the accusations, the angry suspect stabbed his girlfriend with a knife to the chest in front of her mother’s house. The suspect then took the victim to the local clinic where she died.”
He was arrested at his home the same day and charged with murder.
“Depending on the results of the autopsy, an additional murder charge may be added.”
He is expected to appear in court soon.
