Lusanda Mxenge wins the top position in the presidency of South Africa

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Lusanda Mxenge Acting Director General to the Presidency and Secretary of the Cabinet.

Mxenge, who has served as Deputy Director General – Cabinet Office, will serve as Acting Director General for six months or until the position is filled, whichever comes first.

This follows the retirement of the CEO of the presidency, Dr. Cassius Lubisi.

Mxenge has extensive experience in government, having worked in local government, parliament, and various departments of the national government.

Previously, she worked in the provincial and local government department, served as director in the office of the director general in the department of public works and chief of staff in the office of the minister of communications.

Mxenge also worked as CEO: Cluster Coordination in International Relations and Stakeholder Management and Executive Support in the CEO’s Office in the Social Development Department.
