Former Liverpool captain Graeme Souness has stated that “there is nothing he cannot like” about Sadio Mane and said it will be a big mistake against Aston Villa.
The Senegal international is unavailable for tonight’s clash after testing positive for coronavirus and has entered a period of self-isolation under regulations.
Mane has been in stellar form so far this season in the Premier League, scoring three goals in the first three games, but Diogo Jota will step up in his absence.
However, Souness believes that Mane is one of two players, along with Virgil van Dijk, that fans would not have wanted to be without.
“Ask the majority of Liverpool fans who would not like to miss matches, it would be Mane and Van Dijk. We will miss him,” he told Sky Sports.
