Double injury augmentation
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip trained ahead of his team’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.
Henderson was absent from losses to Burnley and Manchester United in the last two games, while Matip was left out of the Reds’ FA Cup loss at Old Trafford over the weekend.
However, Klopp has delivered the good news that there are no new injury concerns as his team seeks to get back on the winning track against José Mourinho’s Spurs.
“Nothing new [injuries]. Hendo and Joel fully trained with the team yesterday, ”said the German coach.
“As always, we have to wait and see through the night, but they trained.”

£ 6bn FSG deal collapses
It was seen as a deal that would take Liverpool to the next step in their journey under the ownership of Fenway Sports Group.
John W. Henry, the main owner of the Reds, had always wanted to work with Billy Beane, the famous baseball executive who revolutionized the use of statistical analysis in sports.
Beane’s work helped a small team challenge the biggest and most prestigious honors each year by uncovering untapped value in players, something Liverpool strive to do to this day.
However, Henry and RedBall Acquisition Corp, a special-purpose acquisition company founded by Beane and American billionaire Gerry Cardinale, were unable to reach an agreement for the two parties to form a partnership related to the business.
A merger with FSG seemed to be on the cards given the mutual respect between the two parties, and a deal would have seen RedBall take a 20-25% stake in the Liverpool owners.

Klopp criticizes Lampard’s firing
Klopp has criticized Chelsea’s decision to part ways with Frank Lampard before dismissing their decision to take on Thomas Tuchel as the club’s new manager.
The Blues announced Monday that Lampard would be leaving the club after just 18 months in office.
Tuchel was the man who replaced Klopp as Borussia Dortmund coach before taking over at Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking ahead of the Reds’ clash with Tottenham on Thursday, the Liverpool manager had a message for Lampard after his departure.
“I think it’s really tough to make that decision so early, but obviously Mr. Abramovich gives you opportunities, money, players, whatever, but obviously he’s not the most patient person in the world,” he said.
