Atlético de Madrid has confirmed the signing of Luis Suárez for two years. The former Barcelona forward’s contract was terminated by the club because they no longer needed him with the new coach, Ronald Koeman. Suárez said goodbye at the Camp Nou where he expressed his gratitude to the club for giving him the opportunity to play football again after his 2014 World Cup mishap.

However, Lionel Messi was clearly not impressed by the way Luis Suárez was expelled from the club. The 33-year-old captain used Instagram to express his sincere love for Suárez and his dislike of the board.

Luis Suárez left the club as the third top scorer of all time, however the way he was treated in recent weeks is quite disrespectful given the amount he has accomplished since joining the club in 2014.

Messi’s candid expression on Instagram certainly means that he will not renew terms with this club and will venture out on a new challenge regardless of whether Joan Laporta is also elected president. Former Barça winger Neymar Jr also expressed his thoughts to the current board, stating that the way they do things is shocking.
