Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has responded to Mohamed Salah’s reaction after leaving during the draw against Brighton on Saturday.

The Reds were confined to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Brighton in week 10 of Premier League matches.

Diogo Jota opened the scoring for Liverpool in the second half before Brighton drew level in the 93rd minute through a controversial penalty from Pascal Gross.

During the match, Mohamed Salah was retired in the 64th minute and visibly expressed his frustration when he was replaced by Sadio Mane.

“The day Mohamed Salah smiles when he leaves the field, something is really wrong,” Klopp told BT Sport.

“I understand 100 percent, but the problem is that he was out with COVID for 10 days. He trained one, played 60 minutes, and then plays again three days later.

“We just have to be careful. He doesn’t like that, we know, but that’s it.
