Police are investigating a drive-by shooting at the home of Bradley Goldblatt, a key witness in the investigation into the murder of Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) Lt. Col. Charl Kinnear, Monday night.
It is understood that shortly before 9:00 p.m. an unknown gunman stopped by his home in Highlands North, Johannesburg, before firing a barrage of shots.
A vehicle parked in the driveway took the brunt of the salvo, and the trigger slipped away at night. No one in the house was injured.

Goldblatt confirmed the shooting to News24, but declined to comment further.
On Monday night, crime scene investigators came to the scene to search for any evidence that could point to who was behind the attack. The incident came on the eve of a request for bail by former rugby player Zane Kilian, so far the only suspect in the state in the murder of the veteran police officer.
Kilian, 39, will appear in Belville Magistrates Court in Cape Town on Tuesday after a series of postponements in the case. He has been detained for almost two months.
According to impeccable sources, Goldblatt is considered a key witness in Kilian’s prosecution. They also confirmed the incident of the shooting at his home.
Goldblatt, himself a former police officer, operated a company called 1Track Solutions, which sold access to shadow cell phone tracking technology, which was used to track Kinnear’s movements.
It is this technology that Kilian allegedly used to track down the decorated police officer more than 2,400 times in the months leading up to his death on September 18.
Kilian, an unlicensed debt collector and private investigator, was arrested three days after Kinnear was shot to death at his home in Cape Town and has been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and illegal wiretapping.

He has also been arrested on charges related to the attempted murder of criminal defense attorney William Booth and is alleged to have tracked his movements using cell phone spy technology.
In a prophetic interview with News24 last week, Goldblatt recounted how he lived in fear after receiving threats against his life.
“I have two armed guards posted at my house for fear of an attack on my wife and son,” he said at the time.
Police spokesmen could not be reached for comment at the time of publication. This story will be updated when received.
