TV personality Sharon Osbourne and cricketer Kevin Pieterson are among the celebrities praising Piers Morgan following his fight with co-host Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle’s history with Oprah Winfrey.

Piers was dubbed a legend after his dramatic exit from “Good Morning Britain” on Tuesday.

This was after he received strong criticism from Alex Beresford, who accused him of having a personal vendetta against Meghan, went off the air during the broadcast.

The couple were discussing the issue of racism that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex raised during the explosive interview with Oprah.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed that there were “concerns and conversations about how dark her skin could be” among the royal family.

The fellow presenter came out in defense of the former “Suits” actress.

“… I understand that you have a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or you had one and she cut you off.

He has the right to interrupt you if he wants. Has he said anything about you since he interrupted you? I don’t think I did, but you still keep throwing it away, “argued Alex.

Shortly after that, Piers stormed out muttering, “Okay, I’m done with this. Sorry, no … sorry, I can’t do this …”

It was later confirmed that he left the show with immediate effect.

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided that now is the time to leave ‘Good Morning Britain.’

“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing more to add,” the statement read.

However, Piers took to social media Wednesday to point out that he defends his comments that Meghan was not telling the truth about some of the allegations she made during the Oprah interview.

He wrote: “On Monday, I said that I did not believe Meghan Markle in her interview with Oprah. I have had time to reflect on this opinion and have not yet done so. If you did, that’s fine. Freedom of speech is a hill on which I am happy to die. Thanks for all the love and hate. I’m going to spend more time on my opinions. “

In response to Piers’ tweet, Australian cricketer Shane Warne commented and said: “You are a fucking legend and yes I know a friend too. But you create debate and discussion, which is good.

“I don’t always agree with you on some issues, but you are a direct talker and many people are afraid to speak out. Keep holding people accountable. “

Echoing Warne’s sentiments was his cricket partner Kevin Pietersen, who tweeted: “I know @piersmorgan far from television and Twitter. He’s a fucking legend, loyal, funny, caring, and so much fun to be around! “I hope you are well, friend!”

“@Piersmorgan, I’m with you. I am by your side. People forget that you get paid for your opinion and that you simply speak your truth, “added television personality Sharon Osbourne.
