One of the most popular reality shows in the world will come to an end with its 20th and final season on E! next year. Keeping up with the Kardashians has been a household staple for 14 years, and fans of the Hollywood family were overwhelmed to hear the news when it appeared on the stars’ Instagram profiles.
It was confirmed today that Keeping Up with the Kardashians will come to an end with its final season next year.
Ahead of the launch of their 19th season on Thursday, September 17, the family broke the news in an Instagram post.
The news was signed by the stars of the show, including Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Scott Disick.
Since its premiere on October 14, 2007, the hit reality series has spawned a number of spin-offs and turned the show’s stars into some of the most recognizable faces in television history.
Produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and executive produced by Ryan Seacrest, KUWTK will run for 20 seasons, ending in 2021.
The family wrote: “It is with great regret that we bid farewell to Keeping Up with the Kardashian. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spinoff shows, we have decided as a family to end this very special journey.
“We are beyond grateful to all of you who have watched us through all these years, through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.
“We will always cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we have met along the way.”
No official reason has been given for the family’s decision to end the series.
In their statement, the Kardashians thanked the executive and production team of E! For making her television trip possible.
They added: “Thanks to the thousands of people and companies that have been part of this experience.
“Most importantly, a very special thanks to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner and our production team in Bunim / Murray who have spent countless hours filming our lives. “
