Roy keane believe From Manchester United The underperforming team contains “too many braggarts” that will cost the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his work.
United were thrashed 6-1 at home by Tottenham on Sunday, having started the season with a surprising 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace.
Former United captain Keane feels that the club’s players were guilty of José Mourinho’s departure from the Old Trafford dugout in December 2018 and fears his former teammate Solskjaer will suffer a similar fate.
“The performance against Spurs was disgraceful … we have all been in football, we have had bad days, but I thought it was an embarrassment for the badge, part of the performance of the players,” Keane told ITV.
“Too many bluffs and ultimately I think it will cost Ole his job.
“They threw the previous coach (Mourinho) under the bus, they will do exactly the same to Ole.”
Under pressure, Solskjaer confessed that the humiliation at the hands of Spurs was his worst day in football.
Ten-man United sank to their heaviest joint defeat in the Premier League as Mourinho returned to pursue his former club emphatically.
Gary Neville, a former teammate of Solskjaer and Keane at United, had already described the debacle as “an absolute disaster” as United drew a 6-1 loss to Manchester City in 2011.
