Gavin Hunt will be introduced as the new head coach of the Kaizer Chiefs.
Former Kaizer bosses coach Muhsin Ertugral has warned Gavin hunt that the pressure on Amakhosi is on a different level.
Hunt took over the reins of the Soweto giants following the departure of Ernst Middendorp and Ertugral says the former Bidvest Wits boss will be under intense scrutiny at Naturena.
“First of all I would like to say that Ernst, as much as he has been criticized, has transformed the team into a title contender, I think it was just unfortunate,” Ertugral told KickOff.
“Gavin has the pedigree, but with the Chiefs it’s a different story, it’s a huge club where everyone has something to say.
“Every weekend you will be under the microscope with performance and have to deal with the pressure that comes with it. Gavin is a winner who knows how to win a trophy, but it is different to set up and lead a team. [of Chiefs’ stature]. “
Ertugral continued to praise his former player Arthur Zwane for landing an assistant coach job at Chiefs alongside Dillon Sheppard.
“I am very happy that Arthur Zwane finally got his recognition for promotion and also Sheppy,” he added.
“They are both great soccer personalities with the experience to manage the team and provide the most needed guidance behind the coach. They are both great human beings and very professionally equipped.
“I’ve been monitoring Arthur’s progress for a while; he was one of the most important players in my time at Chiefs.
“He went through youth development and has been loyal to the club. I have high hopes that this is the next generation of coaches who will transform South African football.
