The midfielder has not played a single game this season but has recovered from injury ahead of the trip to Tshwane.
Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has hinted that he will put midfielder Dumisani Zuma back in shape in Wednesday’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash against SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
With Chiefs having played 11 games in all competitions this season, Zuma has not appeared in any games thus far.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic star came close to returning to action, but injured his hamstring last week and has since recovered before the Pretoria visit.
Hunt said he could give Zuma a few minutes of play as he also said he will not make changes to the team that hosted Black Leopards last Wednesday.
“We will go into the game with the same squad that played against Black Leopards. Dumisani Zuma will return to the squad but we will see how it goes. Maybe we’ll sign him during the game, ”Hunt told the Chiefs official website.
After drawing 2-2 in their last game against Leopards last week, it was the Chiefs’ fourth straight game without tasting victory.
Hunt and his men are eager to bounce back from this setback, and the coach says the key to redemption is avoiding mistakes.
Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune made a few mistakes in the 2-2 draw against Leopards.
“We simply have to avoid making crucial mistakes. We are playing against a SuperSport United that has energetic youngsters on their team. It will be a tough opponent but it’s the same with all the teams we face in this league, ”Hunt said.
“SuperSport has their coach Kaitano Tembo whom I brought to be my assistant, there will be history in that.
“Even after losing two of their key players, Clayton Daniels and Aubrey Modiba, they still have a consistent team and have been together for a long time.
“This league is weird; with a win you jump several notches on the record. We just have to win our games.”
The bosses are ranked 12th on the PSL record while their SuperSport opponents are ranked 6th.
