Jurgen Klopp shares what he told his coaching staff about Diogo Jota last night – HITC

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has commented on Diogo Jota on the club’s official website.

Klopp has spoken highly of the 23-year-old winger who signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.

The German has highlighted the qualities of the Portuguese international, and has also shared what he told his coaching staff about the youngster last night after the game against Sheffield United.

Jota started the match at Anfield and scored what turned out to be the winner in the 64th minute.

Klopp told Liverpool’s official website about Jota: “It’s not too much about what he has brought to the team. He’s a good player, that’s why we signed him.

“I said it just a few minutes ago when I was talking to my coaches that it’s so easy – he’s such a nice person and that’s why he’s so easy to like him.

“That makes everything easier. So, the player he is: he is fast, he has physicality, he is strong, he is good in the air, he is good on the ground … many good things. It has exactly the quality that we need, so that helps a lot. “

According to WhoScored, Jota has made two starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season, scoring two goals in the process.

The Portugal international winger has also played 31 minutes in the Champions League for the Merseyside club, according to WhoScored.

Against United on Saturday night, Jota had 81.6% passing accuracy, won a header, took 56 touches, attempted three dribbles and made two crosses, according to WhoScored.

Jota is a very good and promising young player and his importance to Liverpool will grow as the season progresses.
