Liverpool faces a decisive match
The top of the table is as tight as we have seen it in recent seasons.
Liverpool and Spurs are together at the top of the points, and José Mourinho’s team leads the goal difference.
This week’s Anfield clash could well separate the two sides as we move further down the list of games for December.
The Reds are undefeated in three years at home, but a series of injuries have put this record in jeopardy.

Update on Joel Matip’s injury
On the weekend Joel Matip was eliminated at halftime.
Takumi Minamino replaced the Cameroonian with Jordan Henderson descending to defense.
The central defender was said to have suffered a back spasm. Jürgen Klopp has posted an update on Joel Matip’s injury ahead of this week’s clash with Spurs.
The chief said in his pre-match press conference:
“I do not know yet. Just two days ago we played, he left the field with a spasm in his back.
“The physios worked almost 24 hours with him, so we’ll see. Today we have another session and then we will see ”.
What does RTK have to say
Jürgen Klopp hasn’t revealed much with his update on Joel Matip’s injury.
The Reds will need a good deal of luck to prepare the center-back for the game.

Given the other injuries on defense, the boss won’t want to rush you and risk further injury.
