“It hurts a lot, but this team is still alive,” says Leno, that Arsenal is not down yet

Bernd Leno has admitted that Arsenal are now in a bad place and has even affected the confidence of their players.

The Gunners suffered their eighth loss of the season yesterday in their game against Everton and now they risk falling into the relegation zone if they don’t start scoring points on the board.

Arsenal can’t buy goals right now and that means wins will be hard to come by for them too.

They had started this season in hopes of finishing the campaign in the top four of the Premier League, but are closer to the bottom of the league table than the top at the moment.

Leno admits that things are getting worse all the time, but says that they are not depressed yet and that they have to keep playing to get things right.

Leno said, quoted by the Sun: “A lot of things are going wrong for us, the situation is getting more difficult and our confidence is not at the highest level.

“It hurts a lot, but this team is still alive and this is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves.”

Arsenal’s next game will be against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup before facing Chelsea in the Premier League.
