Inter Milan could reportedly offer the Manchester United star an outing from Old Trafford on a loan deal.
The dilemma with Phil Jones’ current position at Manchester United is complex and unique at the same time.
Jones, one of the most loyal servants on the current squad, has been going through a turbulent phase in his professional football career, one that the English international would like to end soon.
Jones came to Manchester United from Blackburn Rovers almost a decade ago in 2011. Sir Alex Ferguson was the man who chose the Englishman to be a future replacement for Nemanja Vidic at Old Trafford.
Vidic was then considered a household name in the defense of Manchester United. And Jones, reflecting the physicality and sturdiness of the same guy, was thought to be destined for a bright future at the club. Hence the nickname ‘Next Nemanja Vidic’ became very familiar long before it arrived at the Theater of Dreams.
Although the 28-year-old Englishman has won several trophies with the club, it is safe to say that he has not lived up to those incredibly high expectations.
It could be a bitter resolution, but Jones is now considered a surplus for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s requirements. At the beginning of the season, he was denied a place in Manchester United’s Champions League squad and in the Premier League squad.

And Inter Milan is ready to give the Red Devils the opportunity. The Serie A club will offer a loan agreement for the defender in the next transfer window.
According to the story, Jones is set to join his former teammates, Alexis Sánchez and Ashley Young, in Italy. But United will only allow you to leave only if the aforementioned offer has a permanent put option.
Jones is under contract with United until June 2023, and a trade to Inter could give the English central defender the best possible way to rejuvenate his career once again because right now he doesn’t look like he has much of a future. at Old Trafford.
