Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Archie spent their first Thanksgiving Day at their new home in Montecito, California.
The United States celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday and the royal couple reportedly had a “quiet dinner.”
“They will have a quiet dinner at home and are looking forward to celebrating their first Thanksgiving in America as a family,” said a source close to the Sussexes. harper’s bazaar before the holidays.
“They plan to enjoy a home cooked meal of traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including recipes made with fresh vegetables from their garden.”
People reported that Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, would also be joining them for the occasion.
“They are very happy,” a source said of the couple in this week’s issue of the US publication. “Archie is thriving and growing rapidly. As a family, they spend hours outdoors.”
The family’s Thanksgiving celebrations come just days after Meghan Markle revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in July, in a heartbreaking opinion piece on grief and loss for the New York Times.
Meghan wrote in her article, reflecting on 2020: “So this Thanksgiving, as we plan a vacation like never before, many of us become separated from our loved ones, lonely, sick, scared, divided and maybe struggling. for finding something, anything, to be grateful for – let’s commit to asking others, “Are you okay?”
“As much as we disagree, however physically estranged we are, the truth is that we are more connected than ever because of all that we have endured individually and collectively this year.”
