Former Arsenal center forward Ian Wright believes Mikel Arteta should make a tactical change in midfield to improve his attack.
The Gunners recently suffered a 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield in the third week of Premier League matches.
Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring before Sadio Mane tied for Liverpool as goals from Andy Robertson and newcomer Diogo Jota condemned Arsenal to their first defeat of the season.
Mohamed Elneny had started the match alongside his Swiss teammate Granit Xhaka in midfield, as the latter was replaced by Dani Ceballos in the second half.
Despite Elneny and Xhaka’s good form recently, Ian Wright believes that Mikel Arteta needs to change his midfield setup for his team to score more goals.

“I think Dani Ceballos can play a little higher and move on, especially if we are going to play a counter-attack style.

“You can’t play a game without having such a powerful guy like Aubameyang in the game and give him some chances.
“Mikel [Arteta] You have to do something to get him involved. Unfortunately with Xhaka and Elneny, yes, they can take the ball from the center half, but they cannot advance into the attacking areas.
“We did not keep the ball today. Mikel has to worry about that ”, he added.
Arsenal will play Liverpool again in the EFL Cup round of 16 at Anfield on Thursday. Kick-off takes place at 20:45 CLT.
