At least seven prominent leaders, including KwaZulu-Natal Director Zwakhele Mncwango, are reported to face disciplinary charges in what has been touted as a battle for control of the organization.
The saga comes on the heels of the dramatic resignation of Gauteng leader John Moodey this week, who said there was a purge within the organization where Maimane’s allies were under attack.
