While many of us stay home during these difficult times, NASA invites you to get creative and help Hubble celebrate its 30th birthday.
Friday, April 24, 2020 is a great day at NASA and ESA, as the space telescope that has revolutionized almost every area of astronomical researchers celebrates its 30-year milestone.
Unlike any previous telescope, Hubble has made astronomy relevant, engaging, and accessible to people of all ages. To date, it has produced more than 1.4 million observations.
Hubble’s deep-field views also help astronomers track the expansion of the universe, and galaxies show when the chemical elements originated and led to the conditions that made life possible.
To mark the right occasion, ESA / Hubble launched several initiatives. The latest project invites the general public to submit Hubble-themed artwork.
