Car and taxi collide, leaving one dead, at least eighteen injured.
One person was killed and 18 injured after a car-taxi collision Sunday outside Polokwane.
“A large taxi and a light motor vehicle were found in the middle of the road, both suffered a great deal of damage,” ER24’s Russel Meiring said Monday.
“Three people were found trapped inside the taxi, while several more were found outside the vehicle,” he added.
The rescue services had to use specialized tools to free those trapped in the vehicle.
One person was found to be dead, while three others were in critical condition.
In addition, at least 15 other patients had suffered mild to moderate injuries.
