The left-hander is currently a free agent following his release by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) last week.
The Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that defender S’fiso Hlanti is training with the team at the clubhouse in Naturena.
This despite the pending outcome of the transfer ban appeal that was heard before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) on September 9.
Amakhosi announced over the weekend that they have received no communication from CAS and vowed not to keep the news a secret once they know their fate.
However, they seem confident of a successful appeal now that Hlanti is already getting used to the environment in the Village after being linked with a transfer to the club for weeks.

Hlanti is currently a free agent after Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) terminated his contract, which means the Chiefs will not have to pay a transfer fee for his services as long as his ban is lifted.
The Durban-born player worked with current Amakhosi coach Gavin Hunt for years at Wits following his arrival from AmaZulu in 2016.
He is considered one of Hunt’s potential signings due to his experience both domestically and internationally.
Hlanti is a regular member of the Bafana Bafana team and brings with him a wealth of experience in defense and advance.
He participated 156 times for Wits and scored twice during his four-year tenure.
Hlanti also has 11 appearances for the Bafana and was part of the team that represented South Africa at the 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
If he signs, he will compete with Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya and Yagan Sasman for a spot in Hunt’s starting lineup next season.
Ntiya-Ntiya and Sasman have come under scrutiny for their lack of consistency and inability to stamp their authority against tougher opponents.
More former Bidvest Wits players are expected to join Hlanti at Naturena in the coming weeks.
They are Thabang Monare and Phathutshedzo Nange, who also worked with Hunt.
It’s unclear at this stage what will happen to Hlanti or any of the players hoping to sign for the Chiefs if the CAS rules against them.
