- Miss South Africa 2020 will be crowned at The Table Bay Hotel during a closed event on Saturday, October 24.
- The event will be broadcast live on Mzansi Magic and M-Net starting at 17:00.
- Previously, the Miss South Africa Organization sent a representative to both Miss Universe and Miss World, but now it will also present a candidate for Miss Supranational.
For the first time in its 62-year history, the final of the The Miss South Africa pageant will take place in Cape Town.
The event will be broadcast live on M-Net and Mzansi Magic and will be streamed live online to an international audience starting at 17:00.
The 10 finalists represent six provinces: Gauteng has four (three from Tshwane and one from Soweto), followed by Eastern Cape with two, while Kwa-Zulu Natal, Western Cape, Limpopo and North West each have one participant. They are an impressive group and include two doctors working on the front lines of Covid, two full-time international models, as well as graduates in marketing, education and economics, and a food scientist.

For the first time in the history of the Miss South Africa pageant, the contestants in the top three will represent the country in the three most prestigious pageants in the world.
HERE ARE THE 10 BEST FINALISTS:
1. Shudufhadzo Musida (23), comes from Ha-Masia in Venda, Limpopo, but currently lives in Johannesburg. He graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from the University of Pretoria and is currently completing a Bachelor of Honors in International Relations at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Jordan van der vyver (24) lives in Durbanville, in the Western Cape, but grew up in Johannesburg. Currently she works as an international model signed with Boss Models South Africa.
3. Perfect Mbiyo (24), hails from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape but currently lives in Johannesburg. He holds a BA in Integrated Marketing Communications from the AAA School of Advertising in Cape Town. She works as a marketing associate and is a part-time model at Boss Models.
4. Lebogang Mahlangu (24), was born and raised in Soshanguve, Pretoria and currently resides in Umhlanga, KZN. He graduated from Stellenbosch University with a BA. Graduated in Food Sciences and currently working as a product developer.
5. Busisiwe Mmotla (27), comes from Emdeni in Soweto and is a senior and FET teacher who is also studying for a diploma in personal training at Trifocus Fitness Academy.
6. Chantelle Pretorius (24) Born and raised in Pretoria, she currently travels six months a year working as a model in Europe. She obtained a diploma in nutrition from the Blackford Center in the UK and is currently studying B.Com Business Management through Unisa.
7. Natasha Joubert (22) hails from Centurion, Gauteng. She is a B.Com Marketing Management graduate, director of public relations, and owner of a haute couture business.
8. Thato Mosehle (25) comes from Stilfontein in the northwest. She currently works as a medical doctor at the Klerksdorp Tshepong hospital complex and is a part-time makeup student at the Beauty Therapy Institute in Bloemfontein.
9. Melissa Nayimuli (24) was born in Butterworth in the Eastern Cape but lives in Sunninghill, Johannesburg. He earned a BA in Film Medium from AFDA in Johannesburg and works as an account manager for a marketing agency.
10. Karishma Ramdev (25) was born and raised in Chatsworth, KZN, but moved to Pretoria at the age of 18, where he studied and graduated with an MBChB from the University of Pretoria. She is now a graduate doctor working in Johannesburg. Karishma was a finalist for Miss SA’s top 12 in 2018.
