Golf legend Jack nicklaus has put his weight behind the president Donald trump before the American elections.
Nicklaus, 80, is the all-time leader with major golf victories (18) and also won 73 times on the PGA Tour.
He took to Twitter on Wednesday to explain why he voted for Trump: “You may not like the way our president says or tweets some things, and believe me, I have told you!” But I have learned to look beyond that and focus on what he has tried to accomplish.
“This is not a personality contest; it is about patriotism, politics, and the people they impact. His love for America and its citizens, and for putting his country first, has come out loud and clear. How He has said that it was not important to me. What has been important is his actions ” Nicklaus wrote.
Nicklaus urged undecided voters to vote for Trump by adding: “If we want to continue to have the opportunity to pursue the American Dream and not evolve into a socialist America and have the government run its life, I highly recommend that you consider Donald J. Trump for another 4 years.”
Trump thanked Nicklaus for his tweet, writing: “Jack, this is a great honor. Thank you!”
