While promoting his new movie, The midnight sky, George Clooney has been sharing many stories about his wife, Amal and his twins, Her and Alexander.
Now in a new interview with Stephen Colbert, the actor shares a tip with parents on how to get kids to behave at Christmas.
“At three, you’re just trying to keep your kids at bay in general, so I came up with a way to get them to behave during this time,” he told the talk show host.
“When they sleep in the morning, they sleep in the same room, they start making noises and you can hear the two of them hitting each other, and I stand outside the door and say ‘Oh hi, Santa Claus!’ and then you hear that Santa is there and says ‘Ho ho ho!’ And I say, ‘What are you doing here Santa?’ And he says, ‘Oh, I’m just making sure the kids are good kids.’
He continued, “And you can hear them say, ‘We are Santa! We are!’ Then he leaves, and they go out and behave incredibly well. “
The actor, who previously shared a sweet exchange between him and Alexander, he went on to talk about “desperately trying” to keep his children from becoming “little Brits”; the family of four is staying in London.
“It’s not a sweater, it’s a sweater, it’s not the boot, it’s the trunk, it’s not the pavement, it’s the sidewalk,” he said.
“I did my best to try and change their version of speaking with an English accent, so they wrote a note to Santa and I said, ‘Okay, write your note and then we’ll leave you cookies and milk, I’m going to leave it right below the fireplace, ‘”George recalled telling his children.
“And my son says, ‘No, it’s milk and mince pie.’
