Khune, who also made a costly mistake during last week’s 2-2 draw with Black Leopards, saw his distribution disappoint him once again on Matsatsantsa’s first goal scored by Bradley Grobler at the break.
When they pressured Amakosi’s mentor to comment on Khune’s most recent mistake in his post-match interview, Hunt simply said: “We have to really look at it and we will go back and start over and see the situation and go from there.”
KHUNE WAS OPEN AND HONEST
In his own interview, Khune was open and honest enough to admit his mistake, taking full responsibility and promising to work to eradicate such mistakes in the future.
Despite the loss, Chiefs remained 12th in the DStv Premiership standings, but are now 11 points behind the current record leaders, defending champion Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Chiefs will be in league action on Saturday, December 19 at their home at FNB Stadium against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The start is at 18:00.
It remains to be seen if Khune is in goal …
