Motorists will pay 13 c / l less for both grades of gasoline as of December 2.

The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy released its fuel price adjustments for December on Friday.

“Movement in international gasoline prices slowed, while diesel and lighting prices increased during the period under review,” the department said in a statement.

Among the factors that contributed to the adjustments are the increases in the price of Brent Crude Oil and the appreciation of the rand that led to lower contributions to the prices of Basic Fuels of gasoline, diesel and light paraffin.

During the period, the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe also approved a net increase of 14.30 c / l in annual margin adjustments on gasoline and a net increase of 7.86 cents per liter in retail prices. wholesale of diesel and light paraffin – these are effective from 2 December.
