Bingose ​​said rescue personnel managed to rescue the five Isuzu occupants from the fire.

“They escaped with serious injuries and were transferred to the Frere Hospital [East London] for additional medical treatment. “

The alleged cause of the accident is not yet clear at this stage, as emergency services are still gathering evidence and providing aid to the injured, Binqose said.

A wrongful death case has been opened at the Komga Police Station for further investigation.
