Former referee Ace Ncobo believes that the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee should take action against Kaizer bosses goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.
The 33-year-old found himself knocking down Maritzburg United striker Judas Moseamedi after the player scored a goal during Amakhosi’s 2-1 win in an MTN8 quarter-final match this weekend.

The video clip went viral on social media and Ncobo has now called the incident “violent conduct.”
“As soon as the ball is out of play, it is violent behavior. It does not matter if you commit it with your little finger, fist, head or foot,” said the former PSL general manager. Extra time in SuperSport.
“Violent conduct is punishable by suspension regardless of whether or not a red card is shown during the game. That is irrelevant, violent conduct should be punished by suspension.
“If the referee has been lost that day. We have a duty, as organizing authorities (the PSL), to ensure that an incident like that is referred to the disciplinary committee so that appropriate action is taken.”
PSL DC has not issued a statement on whether action will be taken against international Bafana Bafana.
Amakhosi are already in short supply in their maintenance department, as Daniel Akpeyi experienced passport problems and was unable to travel to South Africa. Bruce Bvuma was instead named to the substitute bench last week.
Meanwhile, the Glamor Boys kick off their Premiership campaign against current rivals and champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
