‘It’s like when a fighter is taken down for the last time and he just finished,’ says Diana’s bodyguard.

Princess Diana had to succumb to the pressure of her high-profile marriage to Prince Charles which is publicly crumbling.

A former bodyguard, who watched over the People’s Princess, said she was ‘beaten into submission’ by how her royal marriage fell apart right in front of everyone’s eyes.

Lee Sansum, a former military policeman, said public scrutiny grew harsher after Diana delivered the devastating BBC interview.

During a vacation in St Tropez in July 1997, the month before his death, Sansum was there to protect Diana and her children, “It was like when a fighter is shot down for the last time and they just finish.

“They had screwed up a lot,” he added.

Speaking about how the condemned intervention changed Diana’s life, he said: “There is absolutely grounds for an investigation: she was used.”

Sansum even raised strict reservations about how Diana was constantly questioned for her sanity while being exploited by others for her own gain.

He said: “Many people said that the princess was crazy, but I am trained in various things, such as human behavior.

“I didn’t see any signs of the insanity she supposedly had. She was just a normal person. Can you imagine being told you’re crazy but you’re not? It must be a horrible feeling. She was the most balanced, charming and caring woman. a wonderful mother. She was witty and funny, “Sansum continued.
