Leaked images of the new BMW M3 and M4 have appeared online.
Newcomers are shown in their launch colors.
Unsurprisingly, the new G82 M4 adopts a controversial grille design.
The G80 M3 also features the divisive face.
Images of the new BMW M3 and M4 have surfaced online a day before the scheduled official reveal of the high-performance twins.
The four leaked images were posted on Instagram by Canada. @carswithoutlimits.
The first photograph shows three-quarter front angles of the G80 generation M3 and G82 generation M4, in their respective launch colors (Isle of Man Green and Sao Paulo Yellow).
The second image shows the rear of the sedan and coupe, while the third and fourth give us a closer look at the face of the new models. And, yes, they both feature the controversial kidney grid design seen in earlier spy photos.
While the Munich-based firm will no doubt drop the juicy technical details after the official presentation, we already know that the “standard” models will be offered with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder petrol engine. It delivers 353 kW through a six-speed manual gearbox.
Meanwhile, the Competition derivatives will produce 375 kW (as do the X3 M Competition and X4 M Competition) and will feature an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. These models will initially be offered with rear wheel drive and, at a later date, also in conjunction with the latest all-wheel drive system from BMW M.
