Queen Elizabeth II sparked health concerns among fans and royal admirers after a misleading hashtag surfaced on Twitter.
A war soon began between social media users, as many started noticing the #QueenIsDead hashtag and criticizing those who were trending about the disrespectful and vile attack on the monarch.
One user commented, “How disgusting can people be? Don’t you have a bit of decency to play around with this so lightly? This really makes me sick. I wish her and her family the best too.”
“Tired of seeing misleading hashtags. This is 100 percent fake news, for someone who uses Twitter for news and gossip, this goes beyond a joke, the joke is even in very bad taste for Twitter, can you stop these hashtags? Especially fake news like this, ”said another user.
“This is a sick man, first Jeremy Clarkson now the Queen, some people on Twitter need to have a life,” added a third.
This was not the first time Her Majesty’s health had become a topic of debate on the internet, as the same hashtag rose to the top in July, as well as a song by The Smiths titled, The queen is dead.
