Fawad Alam feels ‘truly humble’ after winning PCB award

CHRISTCHURCH: Pakistani hitter Fawad Alam was “truly honored” after his 102-th hit against New Zealand in the second inning of Test 1 was selected as the best individual performance at the PCB awards.

“I am truly honored to be honored for the best individual performance of the year at the PCB awards,” Alam tweeted after hearing the news.

The mid-range hitter said representing Pakistan gives him “immense pleasure.” He also thanked everyone who supported him.

Fawad Alam’s 102-race hit at Mount Maunganui was voted “Best Individual Performance of the Year” by an independent jury made up of the PCB to announce the awards.

It was his first century of testing in 11 years that made world headlines after Pakistan’s defeat to New Zealand in the first test.
