JOHANNESBURG – TV host Katlego Maboe has been suspended from the SABC 3 Expresso breakfast show pending an investigation into allegations of gender-based violence, as well as a confirmed cheating scandal.
A video taken by Maboe’s partner shows him admitting to once cheating on her with a woman who apparently works at the insurance company for which he is an ambassador. Maboe’s partner also claims that they have transmitted a sexually transmitted disease to her that could affect her ability to have more children in the future.
In a separate social media post from Maboe’s brother-in-law, he allegedly abused his partner.

Maboe issued a statement denying the abuse allegation.
Channel24 reported Friday that Expresso has removed Maboe from the program pending an internal investigation.
“We condemn any act of violence and abuse, especially against women and children, and therefore we take such allegations very seriously. Until the matter has been fully investigated and the outcome is known, Katlego Maboe will not appear on The morning show of Expresso“said the show’s producer. Channel24.
