Clinton Morisson has claimed that both Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil have played their last matches in the Arsenal jersey, despite the latter being difficult to change.
Both had a chance to prove themselves when the new coach was appointed in December, and the former German international started every league match until the Coronavirus pandemic hit.
Guendouzi was rotated throughout the season, but was left paralyzed after his second fight with the manager following his altercation with Neal Maupay of Brighton, and was even forced to train alone.
Guendouzi has reportedly been offered to numerous clubs since then, but so far we have not been able to secure his departure.
However, Morisson claims that none of the above will play for the team again, despite Arteta’s earlier comments.
“I don’t think we will see Guendouzi or Ozil at Arsenal again,” he told Radio 5Live.
“I think they will try to get rid of both. However, it will be difficult to change Ozil. “
The coach seems to claim that everyone has a chance to show what they can do on the field, which was believed to be targeting Ozil or Guendouzi, but that Mo Elneny played yesterday, as well as in the friendly with MK Dons during the match. week, he might as well be the man prepared for another chance.
“It was very clear to me that everyone starts from scratch all the time in football,” said Arteta.
“What you did two weeks or two years ago doesn’t really matter.
“This is what you can now contribute to the team. Everyone is going to have the same opportunities.
“They will have to show with their performances and their attitude that they are better than their teammates or that they contribute in some way to what we want to achieve this season.”
Have our recent successes without the duo of Ozil and Guendouzi limited your chances of getting back into the wing?
