JOHANNESBURG – Eskom has suspended two managers in charge of the Kendal and Tutuka power plants pending disciplinary hearings.

The utility company said its CEO, Andre de Ruyter, personally delivered the suspension letters to the couple.

South Africans are having to endure a fourth day of load reduction after several generating units broke down at the former Eskom power plants.

The utility’s board of directors has appointed three general managers for the Duvha, Kriel, Tutuka and Kendal plants to provide leadership and oversight.
