Johannesburg, Wednesday May 13 – eMedia Investments is saddened by the loss of one of its camera operators, who worked at eNCA at the company’s Cape Town office.
Lungile Tom was admitted to the hospital on Sunday night, May 10, with symptoms related to COVID-19.
He was tested and admitted to intensive care. Lungile’s test results confirmed that he had COVID-19, and he died in hospital this morning, Wednesday, May 13.
EMedia COO Antonio Lee said Lungile joined eNCA in December 2013 as an ENG camera operator. Before this, he worked at CNBC Africa.

In compliance with government regulations, we have disinfected and closed the affected floor.
The company has instituted a tracking and tracing process.
