DStv has launched a new rewards program that will offer subscribers special updates and discounts, as well as benefits from BoxOffice, Showmax and other DStv-related products and services.
The group said members will receive stars based on a variety of activities:
- What package are you in: You can earn up to 15 stars depending on the package you are subscribed to;
- How long have you been a DStv customer?: Here you can collect up to 20 stars depending on the number of years you have been part of the DStv family;
- The services you are using, which can add more starsHow to stream Showmax when added to your DStv account, rent movies from BoxOffice, and stream DStv through the app;
- Simply staying connected for three months earns you 10 stars;
There are four tiers of rewards, which are classified as follows:
- Start: 0-30 stars;
- Rising Star: 31-60 stars;
- Superstar: 61-90 stars;
- Legend: 91+ stars.
The number of stars you earn will only be used to determine the reward level you will be at.
“Some rewards are ongoing discounts and offers that will be yours every month as long as you are an active subscriber at that reward level,” DStv said.
“In addition to earning stars, rewards members can look forward to challenges and competitions for even more rewards.”
“Once you have joined the rewards, DStv will also alert you to new offers, challenges, contests, and rewards via email, SMS, or notifications through the MyDStv app.”
Some of the rewards include:
- Credits for the movie ‘Rent 1, get 1 on us’ in BoxOffice;
- Uber Eats food coupons and delivery;
- Service vouchers to cover technical assistance;
- Special birthday rewards;
- Offers on Showmax;
- Free package updates and much, much more to come.
DStv said the program is available to active South African DStv residential subscribers over the age of 18. Customers can check their Rewards level and their offers by logging into the MyDStv application and selecting the Rewards icon to join.
They will then be redirected to the rewards panel, which will reveal how many starts they have and what special offers they can claim.
