American immunologist and doctor Dr. Anthony Fauci fulfilled his wish to see Hollywood actor Brad Pitt take on his role in Saturday night live (SNL)
The 56 year old Fight club The actor took fans by surprise when he remotely opened the show on Saturday in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor, rehearsing the role of the doctor, clarified several of the recent comments made by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, regarding COVID-19.
“Yes, the President has taken some liberties with our guidelines. So tonight, I would like to explain what the President was trying to say,” he began.
Pitt, like Fauci, further explained that Trump said everyone can get tested, actually meant “no one.”
He then goes on to play a clip of Trump praising his administration for doing an “amazing job” and adding that the infectious disease that spread across the world “will go away one day, like a miracle.”
“A miracle is great. Who doesn’t like miracles,” Pitt said, adding: “Miracles should not be Plan A.”
the Ad Astra The star’s surprise cameo on the show was a success, especially since the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases had recently expressed his wish during a CNN interview, for Pitt to take his role in SNL.
Before concluding the parody, Pitt taking off his wig and leaving the character, praised Fauci.
“For the real Dr. Fauci, thank you for your calm and clarity at this puzzling moment,” he said before thanking health care officials.
“Thank you medical workers, first responders and their families for being on the front line.”
