The stage is set for Diogo Jota to establish himself from a potential impact player to a guaranteed starter in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
23-year-old Jota is expected to start Sunday’s game against Leicester City and Mohamed Salah will miss the game after testing positive for COVID-19 for the third time on Thursday.
The Portuguese forward has since returned from international duty and was photographed yesterday at Liverpool’s new AXA Training Center in preparation for the club’s return to action this weekend.
Jota sent a two-word message on Instagram to Liverpool supporters, which read: “I’m back.”
Jota was photographed in yesterday’s session alongside players like Naby Keita, Sadio Mane, Rhys Williams, Divock Origi, Joel Matip, James Milner, Adrian, Curtis Jones and Nat Phillips, who are in contention to appear against Leicester.
