Although his dispute with his oldest son Azenathi Dalindyebo has been much publicized after a dispute over his paternity, reports have now emerged that King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo is unsure of the paternity of all of his children.
As a result, he has demanded that everyone undergo DNA testing to determine their paternity.
It is unclear how many children he has.
SABC News reports that Dalindyebo’s spokesman, Prince Mthunzi Ngonyama, said Azenathi was the only boy who refused to undergo DNA testing.
“The king decided earlier this year to perform DNA tests that will involve all of his children, not just Azenathi. While still persuading [him] received information from someone who has information that seems to be very detailed that showed what some of [the] suspicions the king had about his son. He was convinced that it is not his son, but now he has said that if he wants to verify it further, Azenathi may undergo a DNA test, but there has never been good cooperation on his part. [Azenathi’s] side, “said Ngonyama.
This occurs a day after a letter to the Thembu nation from King Buyelekhaya’s office confirmed that the king had disowned Azenathi due to alleged confirmation that he was not the king’s biological son.

The couple has had a strained relationship since the king’s release from prison.
In addition to refusing to see Azenathi after his release, the king was arrested in March after “attacking” with an ax.
This occurred only months after he was paroled early after President Cyril Ramaphosa lost his sentence.
According to SABC and other sources, the king supposedly he assaulted his family, including his “son”, the then acting king Azenathi Zanelizwe Dalindyebo with “pocket knives and an ax” and they also allegedly destroyed the property.
According to City Press, Azenathi, who was ruling in his place at the time, jumped out of the Great Place window when his father arrived on the premises.
Dalindyebo was also reportedly aggressive towards anyone trying to get close to him.
He was charged in Bityi Court of First Instance with malicious property damage and assault for threats. He was released under warning and was expected to reappear on June 1.
