Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced Wednesday that the former Proteas bowler Victor mpitsang he has been appointed the new national coordinator of selectors.

He bounced back and ended his career with 103 First Class, 100 A-List and 23 T20 matches under his belt when he announced his retirement in 2012.
CSA Cricket Director Graeme Smith stated that he was satisfied with the decision and that they were confident the job was left in “the safest hands possible.”

His experience as a coach in our various development programs means he has the type of knowledge and context that was crucial in our chosen candidate.
“I can’t wait to see what he brings to the job and the stamp he will put on our national teams and I know he’s excited to get down to business as soon as possible.
Mpitsang expressed his enthusiasm for getting started and stated that he was honored by the appointment.
“It is an honor to be called to this position. For the past eight years since my retirement, I have consciously sought to learn all I can about this game and have invested many hours in acquiring that knowledge and experience,” he said. Mpitsang.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter and all that it brings. Proteas teams are a vital part of the cricket ecosystem and there are areas that need our immediate attention, and I am eager to get started,” he said.
