Cristiano Ronaldo was told to wear a face mask during Portugal’s Nations League victory over Croatia, which was lost due to ‘a bee sting’.
Ronaldo’s wait for his 100th international goal continues after he had to miss his country’s 4-1 victory on Saturday.
So he had to watch from the stands at Estádio Do Dragão as his team put on an impressive performance against the World Cup finalists, but the Juventus star forgot to cover his face.
The footage showed Ronaldo in the stands without his mask as Portugal’s undercover substitutes watched.
And at one point during coverage of the game, the camera saw him when a stadium staff member asked him to cover himself, and the 35-year-old was quick to indulge him.

Ronaldo could also miss Tuesday’s game against Sweden after his foot became infected in what his coach compared to a bee sting.
Portugal coach Fernando Santos had revealed at a press conference that Ronaldo would have doubts for Saturday’s game.
“I have many doubts that he is 100% well,” he said in quotes from Football Italia.
“He had been training well, and suddenly on Wednesday one of his fingers was red, as if he had been stung by a bee.
“Now we have to wait. With an infection, it is not known how long the recovery will take.”
Joao Cancelo, Diogo Jota, Joao Felix and Andre Silva all scored as Portugal began their defense of the inaugural Nations League title in style on Saturday.

They travel to Sweden for the second game of the campaign on Tuesday.
